Abstract

Two explicit representations are obtained for the Kronecker powers of orthogonal second order tensors. The derivations rely on the mathematical properties of Kronecker products and on a classical parameterization of orthogonal tensors. These representations are subsequently employed in the systematic construction of structural tensors and in the analysis of corotational rates of tensor functions.
